"Your restoration of the Battle of Laketown as the ending allows the narratives of this film to reach their appropriate end points before going into the next film, and the entire scene is vastly more enjoyable coming off the heels of what preceded it. "I think this edit works beautifully as a spiritual successor to Kerr's AUJ Arkenstone Edition," one reviewer wrote. Document preservation efforts for films and TV shows not related to Star Wars. The Arkenstone Edition became so popular that it ended up inspiring other fan editors to create their own sequels, with the equally popular The Hobbit: Fire and Water winning over fans. Review your favorite 'alternative' Star Wars edits or tell everyone about your efforts to edit the films to your liking. The latter objective was achieved despite 42 minutes being cut from the runtime, with the creator removing many unneeded nods to the Lord of the Rings movies, including Elijah Wood's cameo as Frodo Baggins. Any eidt that leaves in much of the last half an hour is probably not going to be quite my thing lol. This highly rated fan edit by 'Kerr' came with the tagline "Some stories deserve a little less embellishment" and was based on three principles: Making sure it remained Bilbo's story, worked as an opening chapter in the hexalogy, and stayed compatible with the other movies. The main problem I can see is that some edits remove Darth Vader and some keep Padme alive (cleverly using footage from the Other Boelyn Girl) but none of them do both! The edit I really wanted to try for SWIII doesn't seem to be streaming so I've had to go for a second choice that seems to be a light edit. I'm reasonably happy with the original trilogy apart from Han shooting first but the prequels all need work. I'm downloading the Star Wars prequel edits now. If it still had Sonak and the transporter malfunction, I would probably go with it. Metadata agent for scraping information from the Internet Fanedit Database (IFDB) Filename titles must be able to be found with the IFDB search. I think the edit that you linked to almost does that. My issue with TMP on the small screen is that I want less reaction shots and shorter special effects panoramics but the character moments from the SLE left in. The edits to the characters sound largely positive although I'm split on toning down Decker's relationship to Ilia - that seems very important to me. fanedits made from pirated versions of films to be listed in its database. They're tempting but both edit out Sonak and there is not enough information on how much from the SLE has been edited in. While fan edits skirt the lines of fair use, their creators emphasize the use. One to make it like a 2-part TOS story and the one you linked to. There are only two edited versions of TMP I think.
